Raphael
Moore, Raphael Moore, also known
as Rafi, has been a member of the UCDSO since 1987/1988. He received
his BA in Psychology (with a minor in Education) from UCD in 1990, at
age 19. He then received his Doctor of Law degree (J.D.) at age 22 from
McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, and his Master of Laws (LL.M.)
in Transnational Legal Practice from the same school at age 23.
Rafi has been practicing
law since 1993, and has his law office in downtown Davis. The firm's
clients range from individuals, to large and small business, to American,
foreign, and multi-national enterprises. The practice provides a myriad
of legal services, ranging from estate planning, to business consultations,
to immigration.
Rafi enjoys volunteering
his time to the community, and was a Civic Arts Commissioner in Davis
in the 90's. He has been a board member of the nonprofit Davis Hillel,
the Foundation for Jewish Life on Campus, for the past 8 years, presiding
over the organization for 2 years. The organization promotes Jewish
student identity at UC Davis, and provides a forum for cultural, religious,
educational, and social events.
Rafi is an avid
hiker, and has a knack for being attacked by bears in Yosemite. He lives
with his wife Netania and two daughters in their geodesic dome on the
outskirts of Davis.
