Steven Schaughency, horn

Steven Schaughency, a navtive of Endicott, New York, came to California in 2006. A graduate of Ithaca College School of Music with a double major in horn performance and music education, he then earned the M.M. from Arkansas Sate University in 1975, and a Doctor of Arts in horn performance and jazz studies at the University of Northern Colorado.

Dr. Schaughency hnas performed with the Disney Wolrd All-American College Band, the Arkansas Symphony, the Pennsylvania Chamber Orchestra, and the Virginia Symphony, as well as orchestras in Luxembourg and Bonn. Since 1995 Shaughency has played in United States Air Force bands based at Langley AFB, Virginia, and Sembach AFB in Germany, and is now principal horn of the USAF Band of the Golden West at Travis AFB in Fairfield. He enjoys tyavel, hiking, skiing, and fine wine.
