Yuka Shimizu, horn

Yuka Shimizu is Yuka Shimizu received her Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from UC Davis in 2006. She was involved in various performing groups including Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, and Horn Quartet at UC Davis while she was pursuing her undergraduate degree. She is currently working as a "baby" researcher at UC Davis Genome Center. This is her first season with UCDSO.

When she is not working or playing the horn, Yuka enjoys traveling, driving, cooking, drinking coffee, and skiing.
