Randall Veirs, trumpet

Randall Veirs is an alumnus of UC Davis where he received his Bachelors degree in Music with an emphasis in Music History. He has officially been a member of the UCDSO since 2006, but has played in various performances with the symphony since 2004. During his time at UC Davis he was also a member of the UCD Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, and Trumpet Ensemble. Prior to attending UCD, he played with the Diablo Valley College Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, and Jazz Workshop.

Randall is also an avid plectrum (4-string) banjoist and has been a member of the East Bay Banjo Club since 1997. He has played in countless performances with the EBBC throughout the Bay Area and Sacramento. As a banjoist, he has also performed a number of times with various Bay Area traditional jazz bands.
